Job Summary

As a member of the Social Media Intelligence team, you will leverage the power of social listening and actionable insights to discover what’s important to Walgreens social communities and beyond. Through supporting, leading and optimizing the listening strategy, you will inform and influence marketing and business decisions by connecting dots between the consumer and the brand. You will be responsible for generating insights, identifying opportunities, and delivering key observations to cross-functional partners, impacting various business areas across Walgreens. We are looking for an experienced social media professional who understands how consumers speak and think online while also understanding emerging social and digital platforms. You should be familiar with deciphering ambiguous data, a proven multi-tasker, comfortable with multiple deadlines, flexible with everchanging needs, forward-thinking and proactive.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own and supports social listening and insights efforts through dashboard building, report generation and insight sharing to cross-functional partners
  • Uncovers areas of opportunity to improve and optimize the listening strategy and playbook, including ownership of various projects
  • Channel storytelling by translating complex data from our online communities into easily digestible insights that ladder up to brand/business needs
  • Compiles and delivers timely (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly), high quality social listening reports with actionable insights to various stakeholders and audiences
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Organic Social team, creative team, marketing operations and other brand marketing teams to meet various business needs
  • Co-manage platform partner relationship, proactively identifying areas of optimization
  • Co-manage brand marketing insights tracker to surface changes in conversation around Walgreens
  • Monitors social media and digital trends to push Walgreens towards social media innovation
  • Proactively identify opportunities to insert the brand and foster online brand love, educational moments, and new ways into proactive conversations
  • Support the brand in crisis situations through quick turn reporting and insights delivery

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and at least 2 years of experience in marketing or advertising, OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in marketing or advertising
  • Experience generating and deliver social media listening insights of various weights
  • Experience with tools and techniques for collecting, collating, and analyzing information about existing or potential markets and market needs
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and providing inputs to internal and external audiences while meeting quality standards
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
  • Experience with project management (ex: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
  • Experience with social media platforms, both existing and emerging
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and Sprinklr (or similar social listening platform)
