Full job description

Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to make a positive impact on your community? We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Solar Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in connecting residential and small business ComEd/Ameren customers with the benefits of local community solar projects, while also helping homeowners schedule rooftop solar consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement: As a Solar Sales Associate, your primary responsibility will be to engage with residential and small business utility customers in your community. You'll educate them about the advantages of subscribing to a local community solar farm and/or getting their own rooftop solar system.

Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in solar energy and our community solar offerings. You'll be expected to articulate the financial and environmental aspects of the service convincingly.

Sales Targets: You'll have sales targets to meet, and your success will be measured by your ability to convert potential customers into enthusiastic community solar subscribers.

Qualifications:

  • Sales Experience: Previous sales experience, especially in the energy sector, is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse customers.
  • Self-Motivated: A self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Technical Aptitude: An ability to grasp technical concepts related to solar energy and explain them in simple terms to customers.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to a dynamic and evolving industry.
