About The Role & Team:

Are you interested in planning events at the most magical place on Earth? As a Senior Event Services Manager with the Walt Disney Company, you will prioritize and arrange all logistical aspects of large and complex conventions and events, from planning, Banquet Event Order preparation, to onsite execution. You will act as the primary point of contact for our convention clients, taking them through the event planning process and the onsite Walt Disney World experience. This is done throughout our Resorts, Convention Centers, Theme Parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Water Parks, and Disney Springs. Collaboration, organization, communication, multi-tasking, and guest service is vital, while customizing and selling Walt Disney World experiences.

You will gain a uniquely Disney learning experience by collaborating and multi-tasking with multiple partners. You will also help mentor and/or lead Cast and influence partners across the organization. Come be a part of this fabulous team!

This is a Full-Time position.

What You Will Do:

  • Work with high value Group and Convention clients to prioritize and implement their events across Walt Disney World Resorts and Parks; with a focus on long-term legacy clients and those with high level Disney relationships

  • Manage contracts, room blocks, food and beverage, audio visual, entertainment, theme park events, theme park tickets, transportation, and all logistics

  • Have financial savvy to forecast at a team level

  • Have a talent for developing partnerships and work with all team members in the organization, including mentoring and providing developmental opportunities for Event Services Managers, Event Services Coordinators, and Assistants

  • Ability to service internal and external clients in a collaborative manner with high level of complexity, responsible for being knowledgeable of all products and services at Walt Disney World

  • Creativity to approach problems across multiple teams in creative ways to achieve desired outcomes

  • Flexibility in scheduling is critical; Event Services is seven days a week, 24 hours a day dedication

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Walt Disney World procedures and all convention resort function space and of all Theme Park venues

  • Experience conducting planning sessions and lead timelines for all operating areas and Clients

  • Proven understanding of Entertainment line of business

  • Knowledge of convention contract management and confirmed understanding of rooms and related line of business

  • Experience with large convention spaces: 500+ rooms/over 100,000 sq ft of meeting space, preferably in Tier 1 or Tier 2 markets

  • Multi-resort complex experience

  • Professional Industry Organization Membership

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Certification
