Job description This position is responsible for supporting clinical and operational processes for a Statin Use in Persons w/Diabetes (SUPD) program. Responsibilities include executing interventions by promoting program benefits with Client’s Medicare Part D providers, pharmacies and members. The Pharmacy Technician will interact with Client’s staff pharmacists, interns, pharmacy students and Medicare Part D providers, pharmacies and members. Pay Rate (Hourly Wage): • $20.00-$22.00 Location: • 100% Remote RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: • Monitor toll free call center, including in-coming calls. • Document all calls in the database, using the provided call template • Monitor voicemailbox and respond appropriately Escalate calls to pharmacist when appropriate Follow-through each call to completion – a filled statin claim, an exclusion code, or an unresolvable barrier • Assist in the research, analysis, identification, and evaluation of data from assigned problems to evaluate existing and... potential trends and issues. • Assist in monitoring program initiatives, outcomes, and objectives to ensure goal attainment • Assist in identifying resolution of challenges and issues to fulfill key corporate objectives • Other duties as required. This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. At least two (2) years of college preferred. Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required. EXPERIENCE: • At least five (5) years’ experience in retail or hospital pharmacy preferred. • .At least two (2) years of call center experience. • Knowledge of prescription drug names and therapeutic classes. • Experience with Medicare Part D prescription benefits is preferred. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED: (Brief bullet points detailing the skills necessary for this position) • Strong customer service and phone skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Project management skills preferred. • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products. • Ability to work independently, within a team environment, and communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels. • Knowledge of pharmacy claims processing is preferred. • Understanding of formularies and utilization management edits. Ability to work well in a work-from-home environment • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a remote setting with no unusual hazards.
