About the position

As an Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team at the delivery station, which serves as the final stop before packages are delivered to customers. This role is fast-paced and active, requiring you to receive trucks full of orders and prepare them for delivery. Your responsibilities will include loading conveyor belts, transporting, and staging deliveries for drivers to pick up. You will utilize technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders, ensuring that inventory is ready for delivery. In addition to receiving and preparing inventory, you will be responsible for building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages. The role demands physical stamina, as you will need to lift up to 49 pounds and perform various physical tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching throughout your shifts. You may also be required to navigate stairs and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine, depending on the specific location and tasks assigned. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is dynamic, with moving machines such as order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You will experience varying temperatures, which can range from 60°F to 90°F, and sometimes exceed 90°F in certain areas. Noise levels can be high, but Amazon provides hearing protection as needed. The dress code is relaxed, but safety is paramount, requiring comfortable, closed-toe shoes, and in some cases, protective safety footwear, for which Amazon offers a $110 Zappos gift code to help you prepare for your first day.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and prepare inventory for delivery
  • Use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders
  • Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
  • Lift up to 49 pounds as needed
  • Receive truck deliveries
  • View prompts on screens and follow directions for tasks
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
  • Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
  • Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
  • Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)

Requirements
