Currently, we have a Mechanical Assembly / Production Technician job opportunity for our manufacturing client, based in Broomfield, near 120th and Hwy 36, who specializes in providing products used for compressed air treatment systems such as industrial dryers and refrigerated dryers. This opportunity is temp to hire.

Shift / Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with overtime if/as needed.

Pay Range: $21.00/hr to $22.00/hr, DOE

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position assembles and repairs various types of parts used in air pressurization equipment. You'll be using basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assembly skills. This position works from blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, operational method sheets and receives verbal and written instructions. The ability to learn to troubleshoot is essential. Knowledge of how a small engine/compressor operates is a plus along with basic soldering experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works from schematics, technical drawings. Will also be given other verbal and written instructions.
  • Using mechanical and electrical assembly techniques assembles components, sub-assemblies, and major components to manufacture air pressurization equipment. May perform a variety of different assemblies.
  • Must have working knowledge of a variety of hand tools as well as power tools to perform the job.
  • May be required to make changes or adjustments to prints and parts to complete the assembly.
  • Troubleshoot as you go along.
  • Inspect own work to ensure operational and accurate. Verify each installation to operational method sheet.
  • Parts and materials handling as required.
  • Assist and train co-workers.
  • Follow safe job practices. Verify equipment functions and accuracy. Perform preventative maintenance as required and ensure work environment is safe.
  • Determine best procedure to do production run efficiently and accurately.
  • Notify appropriate personnel if changes are needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education / Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Good math skills required to work with measuring instruments, wiring diagrams, and basic inspections.
  • Seeking 1 year or more of manufacturing experience - this includes assembly, use of hand/power tools, and basic machine operation. Prefer basic knowledge of small engines/compressors.
  • Must have solid mechanical aptitude with ability to read written instructions and basic blueprints/drawing.
  • Good computer skills to follow directions on an iPad.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs independently.
  • Criminal background check required. Results are reviewed case by case.
  • Drug screen required and this includes THC.
