Description

Netflix seeks an attorney for a role with responsibility for development, production and acquisition matters related to Netflix's burgeoning original film initiative. The successful candidate will be part of the company's Business & Legal Affairs Team and work with Senior Counsel and the company's production and acquisition team to structure, negotiate and draft agreements necessary to develop, produce and/or acquire the company's high-profile original feature films.

This is unique opportunity to be an important part of a new Netflix initiative, and to help Netflix shape the future of film production and distribution, much the way it is doing for television.

This position will be based in Los Angeles.

The successful candidate will have at least 5+ years of broad-based development, production and acquisition experience, including with respect to development, production, talent, and acquisition agreements related to motion pictures. An understanding of related or ancillary documents and issues (e.g., security documents, production services agreements, chain of title review) required. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of global feature film distribution (including pay television and digital distribution). Experience providing in-house support preferred.

The successful candidate will also possess the following:

- Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
