Development Engineering Manager id - 16543

Primary Duty

This position is responsible for managing and supervising programs and activities related to private development review, including any assigned staff. This position also manages and reviews development plans including site plans, zoning requests, subdivision plats, etc, for conformance to engineering design standards in both the City and extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). Responsibilities also include supporting the City Development Engineer with masterplans that help guide development within the city including the Mobility Master Plan, Water / Wastewater Masterplan, Impact Fee Program and Drainage Masterplan. There are opportunities for this position to prepare plans and specifications for minor internal projects and manage consulting engineers on various projects. The position also provides technical assistance to other staff engineers, developers and their engineers, and the public.

Education And Experience

Certificates And Licenses Required

  • Registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or ability to obtain same within six months
  • Valid Class "C" Texas Driver License with a good driving record

Salary: $91707.62 - $137561.43 per year
