THE POSITION
The City of Moreno Valley's Parks and Community Services Department is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Management Analyst to lead key community programs and make a tangible impact on public spaces. This role focuses on fostering community engagement, creativity, and collaboration through the management of impactful initiatives such as the Beautify MoVal Program, Sponsorship Program, Scholarship Program, Volunteer Program, and Public Art Program. The ideal candidate will blend analytical expertise with a passion for community outreach, marketing, and public art to ensure these programs deliver exceptional value to residents while enhancing the city's cultural and aesthetic landscape.

As a Management Analyst, you will oversee program planning, implementation, and evaluation, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, and represent the Parks and Community Services Department in fostering partnerships to support these exciting initiatives.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented professional with a background in community outreach, marketing, or public art management. They should have experience successfully managing multiple projects and programs, demonstrating an ability to deliver measurable results while fostering strong relationships with community members, sponsors, and volunteers. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential to promote, coordinate, and execute impactful public-facing initiatives effectively. This individual is passionate about cultivating community identity through public art, beautification efforts, and innovative outreach programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in finance, public or business administration or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience; AND
A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary and similar analyses.

Experience in a governmental agency is preferred.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Management Analyst is the more advanced journey level classification in the Management Analyst series generally requiring little or no guidance. The incumbent may conduct specialized studies, research and provide support on various projects.

Management Analyst is distinguished from Senior Management Analyst by the level of responsibility assumed and the complexity of duties assigned.
