Job Description:

Job Summary
  • The Revenue Management Analyst is responsible for creating, driving and maintaining Pricing and Yield strategies across the network. They partners with Commercial peers and Leaders to communicate revenue performance results and provide insights, align on key business drivers and/or implications to the overall business based on revenue results. This role will document inputs, outputs, and assumptions to update Revenue Management models and plans. This Analyst is also responsible for maximizing passenger revenue in assigned markets of up to $700M annually. The Revenue Management Analyst joins a Team integral to the future of Southwest, and they'll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and pilot where their career takes them.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor and oversee market and city performance and forecast quality to identify opportunities for revenue growth; identify outliers in performance and take appropriate actions
  • Understand and adjust market strategy at every point in the booking curve
  • Deliver regular updates and well-written post-analysis on assigned markets and cities
  • Assist team in managing holidays and special events; conduct and present analysis on revenue performance within market scope
  • Use SQL to pull large amounts of data that support root cause analysis and communication
  • Collaborate with other Revenue Management teams on root-cause analysis and revenue opportunities
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
    • Revenue Management, Pricing and similar analytical field
    • Preparing and presenting high level business reporting to leadership
    • Excel or similar spreadsheets and relational databases like SQL
Licensing/Certification
  • N/A
Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines

Pay & Benefits:

  • Competitive market salary from $74,950 per year to $83,300 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
