Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking help with their gardening needs. This role involves managing customer inquiries through phone calls, emails, and online chat, and assisting with both customer service and sales requests. The ideal candidate will be passionate about plants and gardening, with an ability to help customers find the right products for their gardening projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online chat in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with product recommendations, order inquiries, and troubleshooting.
  • Process orders and sales, providing detailed product information and upselling when appropriate.
  • Offer expert advice on plant care, gardening techniques, and product usage.
  • Manage customer returns, exchanges, and complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Keep track of customer interactions, feedback, and sales data using our customer service software.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure smooth operations and customer experience.
  • Stay updated on plant inventory, gardening trends, and seasonal product offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service or sales experience, preferably in an online environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers professionally.
  • A genuine interest in plants, gardening, and horticulture (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience with Zendesk and Shopify platforms a plus.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours based on the seasonal demand (Spring, Summer, Fall).
