Job Summary

The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily airport operation runs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manager. The Duty Manager will oversee and coordinate team activities to create a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.

Job Duties

  • Supervises and coordinates team activities related to the operation.
  • Coaches, counsels and mentors employees, including issuing disciplinary action as required.
  • Assists in recruiting, administrative, payroll, employee scheduling, and general administrative duties.
  • Monitors staffing and overtime use and operational and financial performance of the assigned station.
  • Promotes team-building initiatives to develop and motivate team members.
  • Monitors and enforces safe working conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.
  • Promotes and adheres to policies concerning Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out. May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.

Working Conditions

  • You will need to have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. We operate in a shift bid environment.
  • Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.
  • Enjoy the outdoors on a daily basis (sun, rain, sleet or snow!) May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, jet and machinery noises, fumes, dirt and dust for extended periods.
