Full Charge Accountant

Part-Time, On-Site – 2 Days/Week | River North, Chicago

Key Responsibilities

Perform full-charge bookkeeping through the general ledger, including:

  • Downloading and posting all banking and credit card activities in QuickBooks Online
  • Recording monthly journal entries and reclassifications
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • Entering and paying vendor bills through the full payables cycle
  • Complete bi-weekly payroll using the Paychex payroll system
  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns
  • Assist the Inventory Manager with receiving and tracking vendor bills by order
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on monthly financial reports and cash flow tracking
  • Maintain well-organized digital and physical recordkeeping systems
  • Maintain a clean and organized on-site work environment

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Mastery of QuickBooks Online preferred
  • Experience with the Paychex payroll system is strongly preferred.
  • Available two days per week, in person
  • Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in retail, fashion, or product-based businesses is a plus.


Compensation
