Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll and report processing, maintaining employee records, and relations.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain employee records in the HRIS, ensuring all information is up to date and accurate.
  • Assist with journal entries related to payroll transactions and adjustments.
  • Utilize payroll software such as QuickBooks and Drake for efficient processing and reporting.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues and resolve them promptly.
  • Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed, including data entry.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with financial concepts and principles.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems such as QuickBooks and Drake.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
